Steganography

In this assignment I made an image of an octopus. Then, I encoded a secret message into it using seganography. On the first page you can find the instructions for encoding it, and the second the image. To decode you need to reverse the instructions. If you’d like to decode it, try it out. To reveal the answer, highlight between the two lines: | octopusgarden|

The making of this message was riddled with problems. I kept encoding it wrong, so when others went to decode they got the wrong message. And the instructions given were really unclear. If you decoded it wrong, it’s not your fault. It’s mine.

But, I did learn how to encode and decode messages from certain images. It helped me better understand ciphers because it taught me how annoying it is to reverse a modulus equation, even if you know all the operands in the equation.
